Terrible smelling gas - 5 year old boy

Hi all,

My son had a weird stomach thing about a month ago. I think it was a bug, and it passed after about 10 days. But since then, his stool/movement hasn't been bad but my god, he has terrible flatulence. My husband thinks its funny but I know it's beyond the norm, and it's almost all the time. It doesn't seem to be linked to needing a poo, either.

i'm keeping a poo diary for the doctor but is there anything I can give him? I'm wondering whether it's a bacteria imbalance. there doesn't seem to be a link with foods and his diet is the same as it's always been.

I'm worried about him going back to school and other kids saying stuff...

Have you tried charcoal tablets? They absorb gas and might help. Ask at the pharmacy.
