Red lumps of gloopy stuff

DS (11) has just spent a long time pushing on the loo and after the poo, he didn't feel finished and pushed out the substance in attached pictures.
He has had internal haemerrhoids for about 4 years which sometimes swell after he goes to the loo. He barely eats anything so going to the loo is tricky for him anyway.

The only thing online that resembles the pieces of whatever it is is dead liver flukes!!! Do humans get them?
That's totally freaked me out....we collected samples and have refrigerated until doctor on Monday.

Any ideas?

Aha, does watermelon do this?
He ate a large slice tonight and not much else all da except noodles and veg for tea?

The pulp of watermelon will often pass through the intestines without much change and can appear distributed through your stools giving them a red mottled appearance. Other fruits which can cause red coloration are cranberries, papaya and dragon fruit (pitaya).

Having googled "watermelon poo" one of the images looks a lot like that.

Not A&E. Sounds like "watermelon poo" is a known phenomenon!

I'm thinking that too jinx.
He has been fine in himself all day and whilst he felt sick at the time it happened last night, too much watermelon can cause nausea and gastro issues.
