UTI 2 year old?

purpleme12 · 20/08/2016 17:30

My partner was with our 2 year old yesterday and today I was at work. When I come back he said for the last few hours she's been saying it hurts when she wees. She's also told me this. I've just seen her go for a wee and it was clear it hurt quite a bit!! Her face was all red with the hurt. She does have a bit of white bits in her vagina too. She's been potty trained a month and a half. I don't want it to put her back as well. Should I take her to drop in centre today or tomorrow? To me it looks like it hurts her quite a lot when I saw her

purpleme12 · 20/08/2016 17:44

Go Today? I don't have anything to put a sample in but I guess I could see if she could go for a wee there if I use a chocolate as incentive lol

You DEFINITELY need to go today. For a suspected UTI NHS24 will give you an appointment straight away. They'll get her an antibiotics if needed.
Hope she is better soon Flowers

Today! Perhaps you've never had a uti but it's agony. Please get it sorted asap. Lots of water to flush it out and you'll get your sample whilst you're there. If necessary get her to wee in a jug and pour it into a pot.

She needs treatment asap, you can get quite poorly with a uti, fever etc.

Luckymummy22 · 20/08/2016 19:34

My son has a suspected UTI. We got told to go to out of hours Dr last night. He gave urine sample & they were good. His wasn't clear but there was white blood cells in his urine so they are treating it as that & he has antibiotics. (He also has a pretty pink ear but has no signs of pain from it). He's been screaming in pain stI'll today when he pees. It's heartbreaking to see it. He's 21 months.

So if You haven't already, phone 111 as a UTI can be serious I'm children if not treated. x
