Hi all I am new to mumsnet..I joined hoping that someone may be able to offer me some kind of explanation//possible cause of my 9 yr old sons excruciating neck pain
It started randomly over a week ago. He went to bed and about fine minutes later was screaming with pain. Took almost three hours to settle him. Every night since at bedtime within five/ten mins he is again screaming with the excruciating pain. I have explores with him the fact that mammy finds it difficult to believe he is really in pain when it starts at bedtime. Last night though he was again hysterical for over an hour. I struggle to imagine he could cry the ferociously and to that intensity for that long if he were faking it. Any suggestions or ideas hugely appreciated. I am at my wits endSad

Is there any reason you haven't taken him to a dr?

Has he been overdoing it on a games console lately? Maybe the way he has been stooped over playing games etc?

Hi tbh he is a games/ technology worshipper. Has been so since hr knew where the on switch was. I try to limit their time when they are with me but both of them live, sleep, eat and breathe the things when they go to their dad's . Its been the case for nearly six years... Since we separated and he has never had anything like this before . I guess it I'd something I will consider just seems strange for it to have developed so suddenly. Thanks for replying Smile
