Atopic Eczema HELP!!!!

HELP!!! My child has atopic eczema from 6months old and now he's 4 years old, can't sleep can't socialise with other children , i cant go out anymore he cry every minutes, i am wick and tired i even cry with him most of the time. we have been going to different doctors every week all they give us is cream upon cream and steroids from Elocon, Demol 200, 500, 600, Diprobase ointment, 50/50, Hydromol ointment even wet raps dressing made it worse. Also we were advised not to give him eggs. Milk. Wheat. Fish. Citrus fruits. Seafood. And he's every picky when it comes to food he only like rice and chicken . I'm I doing some thing wrong any ADVICE PLEASE.

What a nightmare for you. Have you been referred to an allergy clinic?

Has he seen a dermatologist? Sometimes you have to be quite pushy with the GP. Within a week of a dermatologist appointment DD went from having eczema covering almost her whole body with recurrent infections only having the odd patch.

That's awful for both of you.

My DS had bad eczema as a baby and I was constantly at my GP's with him. I had to fight to get referred to the local paediatric matron who specialises in childhood eczema and within 10 days of seeing her it was nearly gone and has been well controlled since.

Are you being totally cared for by your GP? Have you had a referral?

Thanks guys. EE is under dermatologist but the doctor refused to do allergy test on him saying EE will be allergy to many food because of his eczema.

He doesn't sound very helpful. Could you request a referal to a dietician maybe through your GP if you dermatologist is unwilling to help. Dieticians can be really good at helping you discover which a foods cause eczema to flare up.
