DD constant cough

DD is 10 months old and has had a cough for a few months now. It gets to the point where it's just stopped and then she'll get a cold and it starts over again. It's currently got to the point where she coughs every time she has a drink and come bedtime about 1/2 hour after going down she'll have a coughing fit and then projectile vomit her tea and last feed. It's obviously upsetting for her as she cries and is a little shaky with it. Her chest sounds raspy but new does so when we're with the GP. I saw the GP yesterday who checked her temp, chest, ears & throat and said apart from a slightly red throat she's fine. Has anyone had this with their LO? If she's just a 'coughy' child then fine but I'm just getting worried as it just won't completely clear up.

Yes with Dd and it was asthma and allergies - worth asking GP if antihistamine and inhaler would be worth a shot?
