Baby hip problems?

My DS is 8 months old.

Today he had his 8-12m review and he has been sitting unaided for 3 months, he is crawling, rolling, standing supported.

The HV has referred him for a scan as he has uneven leg creases. He wasn't being particularly cooperative during the measuring and she thinks his left leg is 1cm longer than the right.

Could he have DDH? Has anyone been through this at a similar age?

Yes he could have it, it certainly sounds suspicious to me. It's great they've picked it up if it is ddh as the earlier the better for treatment. My daughters wasn't detected until she was 3 with a leg length difference. She was an early crawler and walker.

Thank you both for replying.

I'm really hoping he doesn't have any hip problems but I know it's a very real possibility. I keep looking now and his legs look the same length but the creases are unequal.

What treatment have your little ones had so far?

Just waiting for docter appointment.
My little girl has one leg shorter then the other and non of her creases match.
She was born with postitional talipis as well.
There is a thread on here about my dd.
