Any children's dentists around, please?

My 11 year olds tooth has fallen out and it looks as if only the top half has come out. There is a blobby mass left in his mouth which feels soft but I'm wondering if the bottom half of the tooth is still in there. The tooth went grey before it came out but we thought it was just part of the coming out process.
Do I need to do anything or can I sit and wait? DS isn't in any pain. Thanks in advance for any advice. Pic attached!

Hi dentist here. By 11 the roots will have resorbed ie been worn away. It is very normal for what you have shown to be what comes out. In a few days you should see the tip of the emerging new tooth. Don't worry! Hope that helps
