If your child gets travel sick on long journeys, reading/colouring or watching a film ect.
What do you give that works well? For a 4 year old.
Thanks in advance.

Seabands are great! You can get them in most chemists but I ordered DDs from Amazon.

Hi there, ds1 gets very sick in the car, but we have just been to France and back and he wasn't sick once. The trick is to always have them engaged looking out the window, playing a game. So, he counted all the red cars, and me the blue. Or who can see the bridge first, etc. we also for the first time used some travel sickness tablets called Kwells Kids. He felt super grown up taking them. Good luck.

I also never let him do anything that involves looking down. Eg. Reading or watching a film. It is what aggravates the sickness feeling. What also helps is a small differentiation between outside and in. So preferably a car interior which is light, and being able to see out of the window well.

Phenergen syrup is a lifesaver. You give it the night before travel.

Ds throws up without fail on long journeys, with this he's perfectly happy, reading, drawing, even eating!

Phenergan. It is amazing. Without it, my DS can't last more than 25 mins in the car. None of the other tricks worked for us. Luckily, most of our trips are short, so I don't have to give it often

We have a minimum of 5 hours but potentially 7 so unfortunately will need to resort to DVD watching, reading and colouring at some point. Will have a look into these recommendations - thankyou.

Can you get the Phenergan Syrup or the Kwells kids over the counter! Or do you need a prescription?

Yes you can get Phenergen over the counter.

For a very long journey I give it first thing as well as the night before.
