Low Blood Pressure

Is 99/59 low blood pressure for a 15 yr old girl?

DD is very pale and been tired this week. Checked her blood pressure today and got this reading. I am going to try and get a doctor's appointment tomorrow but would value any advice.

I would say yes - but it would depend on her age/height - if you google there will be a chart to show you but you will need to know how tall she is. Keep her fluid and salt levels up as this will help.

Thank you.

I think she is about 5.5/5.6, slim build but not skinny.

I have looked on line but there doesn't seem to be much on her age group but will keep looking.

www.nhlbi.nih.gov/files/docs/guidelines/child_tbl.pdf I'm not good at posting links - this may work

Yes, it's on the low side for a 15 year old. Is she drinking enough?

I do have to keep an eye on what she drinks.

She has a smoothie for her breakfast, a small bottle of water for school, sometimes a drink at lunch and squash when she gets home and with her meal.
