Any dermatologists or dermatology nurses out there?

Would you take a look at these pics of my daughters rash please? It started with 3 spots 6 weeks ago and has got progressively worse since & continues to spread. It's very itchy to the extent that she wakes at night with it but not sore. Our GP has no idea what it is & so she is being referred to dermatology. I just thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas.

It looks fungal? (I'm no doctor!)
Have you tried anything on it? Did anything help?

Could it be (whispers) scabies?

The first treatment the GP tried was for scabies but that's excluded now. Nothing at all has helped so far. Fingers crossed for a dermatology appointment very soon

Any tick bites?

When it started it was 3 spots, each about half an inch from the next which looked a bit like bites

It's odd that it's so symmetrical.

When I carry a rucksack, that's exactly where I tuck my thumbs under the straps. Has she been doing something similar? Could it be some sort of contact dermatitis?

Is it anywhere else on her body? I'm sorry if this offends you but it looks similar to bed bug bites.

Impetigo maybe?

Thanks for all the input. Don't worry, you won't upset me . It has spread from her right to left and as of the last couple of days it has spread to her left upper arm and neck. GP says not impetigo. Will google bed bug bite images!!

I had something similar. Doctor said that it was hives caused by al allergy. Turns out that I was allergic to fresh plaster dust, I had decorators plastering at the house at the time. I ended up with it for months as the dust infiltrated my wardrobes (didn't know it was plaster dust till months later!!) All is fine now, treated with piriton etc (although nothing worked really well till all my clothes were washed!)

I'm sure bed bugs can be brought into the house, if you look round the edge of her mattress you may see brownish specs.

Google will show you what the droppings look like.

Ooh it looks very much like bed bug bites. She's asleep now or I would be up there looking for the little vicious sods!

Looks like erythema multiforme to me - Google it.

P.S. Very unlikely to be bed begs.

No, not psoriasis, tend to get a lot of scale/flaking and it's not pink enough.

Thank you all. It does look like erythema multiforme, I'll have a better look again tomorrow. The GP mentioned it but had discounted it due to the length of time it has persisted for (I think that's what he said). The only thing that made me think of bed bugs was the 3 spots in a line that she started with that looked a bit like bites. You think that very unlikely Octonaught?

Bed bugs bites only last a few days and they look just like normal bites. They are usually on the legs and come in crops of 2-4 new ones a night (bedbugs tend to like breakfast, lunch & dinner ).

Your GP is right that it lasting a little longer than erythema multiforme usually does, but not every case is textbook.
I'm betting it will have disappeared by the time you see the dermatologist.

Thanks Octo I'm pretty sure it is that now and strangely, after all that time, yesterday it had really improved. Dd and I both looked at the images on Google and agreed it looked the same.
