I have just come down with strep throat a third time this month! I have been given antibiotics each time but about a week after taking my last dose it comes back. My 18 month son has been ill a couple of times during this time, with various symptoms. I have checked his throat each time, but not seen any white pus so have ruled it out. I am now wondering if he might actually also have had it, but with different symptoms as read this is possible at this age, and that he might be reinfecting me (you are apparently contagious for about 3 weeks if not given antibiotics) Just trying to work out why I keep getting ill. For those of you that have had children with confirmed step throat around this age, what symptoms have they had?
