enlarged tonsils...what to do?

DS(2) had a humongous sneezing fit before, during which I saw that his tonsils were massive! He has been a bit snotty over the past few days but no other symptoms. What do I do? I'm working tomorrow and Wednesday, would it be ok to go the doctors on Thursday? Does he need seeing sooner?

Some children have naturally large tonsils. Are they very red, pussy or touching?

Flanderspigeonmurderer · 17/05/2016 07:31

Does he seem to be in pain? Is he off his food?

TheCrumpettyTree · 17/05/2016 11:49

Are they causing him problems? Does he snore or hold his breath when he's asleep or does he get tonsillitis? If he's not ill then the GP won't do anything.

Thanks for your responses.
They're quite red, not pussy but almost touching. He doesn't seem to be in pain at all. He's his usual happy self.
He does snore, and occasionally hold his breath whilst sleeping. What could that mean?
