Wart on hand?

Hi Folks,
I think DS9 has a wart on the inside of his hand. It came as a sort of blister (which I confess I tried to pop) but now it's a hard, raised lump.
He hates Drs after a rather scary stay in hospital but we have now changed gps.
How should this be handled? Treat myself and then try GPs if the cream fails?

As a child frightened of the Dr for the same reason I would highly recommend getting him to the GP for this. I'm aware it may not be a popular choice but it is also what my gp recommended for ds1. Take him along for minor things try a few gp's to build up a positive association if you wait until he's really ill it may just reinforce that Dr's are mean. Ds1 will now reasonably comfortably see on lovely doctor now although is still nervous but she encouraged him to come for more minor things to build up a relationship with someone.
As for the wart ds2 had one and the Dr gave him stuff to get it off. They like to get them off on children because they tend to pick and scratch which causes them to spread.

My experience is completely different. Limp appeared on DD's palm. Practice nurse thought it was from falling over in sand/gravel so froze it and dug around with a needle. DD nearly went into orbit. Couldn't get anything out so stuck some stuff on to draw it out and sent us home. A month later no change so went to GP who gave us silver nitrate pencils. 2 lots did nothing. Went back and they said they'd just leave it to save any more distress.
