Been going on for about 2 weeks now where he just sleeps and sleeps and sometimes complains of a headache.
I've booked him in for doctors on wednesday but what else can I do? Should I be worried about this excessive tiredness?

DoItTooJulia - They sent me the letter the same day I got a phone call saying what the results were and what the doctor was going to do. I'm not sure how to read them but the doctor also said what you have which is it is not abnormal for people (especially in the UK) to have low vit D levels at this time of year as we are only just seeing some decent sun. But DS seems to have very low levels. I will ask regarding PTH etc in case they did that test already (again I'm not sure on how to read the results very well). There is a bit of me that hopes the Vit D is the reason both DS and I are very sleepy... before now, my fatigue has been put down to poor mental health and have only had sleeping tablets to help me (which don't work). Lack of vitamin D sounds much easier to treat from what the doctor said. That could be me being very naive though. It's just very hard to think that I will always be like this.

Vitamin D is fairly easy to treat with a high dose supplement, am glad you got some answers in the end op but scary your ds got so poorly before you did.

Not read whole thread.
OP. Please. If you do not have a CO (carbon monoxide) alarm, get one.

CO can cause sleepiness. It does not smell. You will not know it is there. It may cause headaches- or it may not.

It might kill you, or your DS. In some cases, you go to sleep, and just don't wake up ever again.

I know.

Please- get an alarm if you don't have one.

Even if you don't have a gas boiler- it could be coming into your house from another premises.

crappy please read the full thread it has moved on considerably from the OP.

Crappy could still have a point - it's good practice in any event.

We do have three co detectors. One that is mine and two that come with the flat (rented). One went off a while ago but we've had two inspectors out since. Nothing has been found and the old co detector was found to be faulty and was replaced.
It was the scariest and first thought I had.

Just as an update he's stopped sleeping so much and we have an even better routine than we've ever had before. I'm taking vitamin d and iron tablets and i've been trying to get us out as much as possible.
