stiff painful neck after adenoidectomy

My dd (6) had an adenoidectomy and grommets last Friday. She really struggled with anesthetic but is recovering fairly well at home.
However yesterday she said her neck hurt (at the back) and today it seems to have got worse. She has described it as throbbing but struggled to lift herself from lying down without it really hurting. She does not have an overly high temperature and seems to be improving in other ways.
I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience of this after an adenoidectomy (maybe position of head whilst on surgery?) or is it something I should be concerned about.

I think it's normal as the adenoids sit far back in the throat ame you can get neck pain.

That is the non technical version. My dd had hers out about 8 weeks ago and had neck pain. (I googled it and found that answer.)

Ring your doctor though if you are worried. I called their rooms a few times with post op questions as she had her turbinates out as well and did not recover well. That's what they are there for.

Thank you. Yes I'm pretty sure she's okay but going to call the ward today as she has also been sick this morning too 😕 and slight temperature now. But she seems in quite good spirits and is chatting away this morning.
