Dd and nephew were playing closely for a couple of hours before we discovered he had nits, quite a few easily visible. I've checked her hair, long but was in a messy plait, and can't see any crawlers. Buuuut what do I do? A) assume she's fine and just send her into school tomorrow or B) treat her just in case, even though the pharmacist said only treat once you've seen evidence.

Thanks

Wash and comb through with conditioner and nit comb if you have one. If you do it carefully it will a)check and b)get off any adults that could infect others at school. Then if you do find some you can proceed with whatever treatment you use to get rid of eggs/babies.
