I have moved this to child health board as I don't think aibu is appropriate anymore.
What began as a quick question has become 2 now 3
The support on these threads has highlighted the best qualities of mumsnet and I am so grateful to every lovely person who has supported me so far! Thanks

Poor wee thong, and poor you - having a child in hospital is so hard.
Glad they are taking it seriously.

MeanwhileHighAboveTheField · 16/04/2016 07:36

Sorry, poor wee thing not thong Blush

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 16/04/2016 07:38

Can't believe you are still having to go through this. Poor little love.

Footle · 16/04/2016 07:40

They are only just starting to monitor her kidney output now ??

cakeycakeface · 16/04/2016 07:40

Good to hear she had a better night littlemae. If her tummy now is no better than the pictures you showed us, I wonder why your GP wasn't using language like 'grossly distended'? As I remember it, you were posting saying 'is this normal'? It was obviously never normal, and a HCP should have said so a long time ago.

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 16/04/2016 08:14

So two more days of prep to go? It would be great if they could give you a plan for next week so you could make arrangements. It may be that you move to Leicester on Monday, but I would hope they have started planning the move by now, as it's the weekend. I'm pretty sure they will say 'let's wait and see how the next two days go' Sad

Hissy · 16/04/2016 08:15

I can't believe this is still unresolved! I hope that the successful resolution to this is in sight.

I can only imagine how terrified and exhausted you all are.

Wrt the term "grossly distended" that may very well be a medical classification, rather than an emotional one.

When my son got burnt, 13% of his body, the worst thing I have ever seen, they described it as superficial.

Superficial to us in everyday life appears inconsequential/not something to the seriously at all. But of course once I'd got over my initial shock I realise they meant surface and thankfully only to the top layer of skin.

You're in a good place, it may be that you need to go somewhere better, but at least finally you're on somebody's radar.

fuctifino · 16/04/2016 08:21

I'm glad to read that littlemae is in the most part cheerful throughout all of this.
I seriously hope this is your last thread!!

Never before have so many people been waiting for a po!

Backingvocals · 16/04/2016 08:29

2000 posts and counting.

I agree that they really do sound a bit laissez faire about all this. She's been swollen for a day or so - shouldn't that have triggered some tests earlier?

Glad she's holding her own and you too OP.

StillYummy · 16/04/2016 08:35

When I first opened thread 1 I had no idea how invested I would become in a small persons poop! Fingers crossed for a resolution in thread 3 X

ScarletOverkill · 16/04/2016 08:36

Sending you positive thoughts Littlemae
I don't know how I would be coping in your situation!
How is your dd6?

Headofthehive55 · 16/04/2016 09:01

To give you hope that things can resolve, we ahem, had a good result yesterday after at least four weeks of movicol, enemas. We've been going at it the same time as you - as you know I've followed the thread...but I thought it might help you to know it's still possible to resolve.

Headofthehive55 · 16/04/2016 09:02

Good luck in your case...hope it resolves soon!

SkodaLabia · 16/04/2016 09:11

Bravo to Small Hive!

LaContessaDiPlump · 16/04/2016 09:15

Yes, well done SmallHive! Let's hope it's catching Grin

The nurses are really concerned and looking very worried.
DD doesn't look like herself any more and can't even get out of bed to look at the snow. Not interested.

I feel physically sick. Will update later.

Thank you for the ongoing support. It is the only think keeping me going and strong xx

If making a more public fuss can help your daughter , please don't let your partner's job ( whatever that is ) get in the way - it's not important now.

magratsflyawayhair · 16/04/2016 09:36

Lots of love to you all Thanks

billabye · 16/04/2016 09:39

I'm in awe of how you're coping Flowers
