Baby with runny ear?

My 5 month old has really waxy ears - one seems to run on and off. She is in no pain and no temp etc. How do I clean it? Or should I leave it alone?

I would say it's an infection. DS had his first recently and it started clear and went green. On and off in both ears for almost 2 months before we were given the correct ABs to fix it.

Didn't bother him either.

argh i need to see a doctor? i might as well move in there at this rate!

I know. I try very hard not to go to the GP as well but with ears it's better to be safe than sorry.

If it helps I find I tend to have to go a lot in a short time and then not again for months and months. Fingers crossed this will be the last trip until next Winter ;)
