Recovery time after teeth extraction

DS (8yo) has to have 2 supernumerary teeth extracted under general anaesthetic. It is scheduled for a Weds morning. Would he be OK to return to school the next day or do you think he will need a couple of days to recover? Just wondering what to expect and whether to shift it to a Friday (which would mean an even longer wait for this to happen so don't want to switch if I don't have to)

Thanks!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Id keep the wed appointment but keep him off school on thurs. They say someone should be with you for 24 hours after a general. Also shouldnt be running around etc after extraction, which he probably would be likely to do at school.
