for us to take dd to see a cardiologist privately? Our GP heard a heart murmur and the earliest NHS appointment is not until the end of May.

Most private consultations come in around the £200 mark. If you ring a couple of local private hospitals you might get more of an idea.

The problem is that there are likely to be further tests needed to decide what the problem is and they will also cost.

Murmurs are pretty common, usually nothing and if the gp was worried they would have sent him in immediately. Are you worried?
