Hiya, was wondering if anyone could help or has had similar. Basically my son came down with a bug 12 days ago, on a Saturday. He was sick twice then fine for 2 days. On the Tuesday he was sick all day, wouldn't even keep water down. Kept him off pre school. Then weds and thurs he was fine but kept him at home, then Thursday evening he was sick again. Friday took him to Drs who said this was normal. Anyway he wasn't sick after that, as of Sunday has been really hungry. My husband came down with d&v Sunday night, showing last symptom Tuesday afternoon. My son (thinking he was better by now) went back to pre school Tuesday and yesterday. Anyway been up an hour as he's thrown up everywhere again.

So worried & confused. Will be phoning Drs when they open. I'm just exhausted. I've been washing all the toys in the house, disinfecting the whole house, washed everything inc towels and bedding on hot washes. So just really fed up now!

Poor you that is horrible. No advice but didn't want to read and run. My guess is the Doctor will just say keep him well hydrated.

Thank you Meggymoodle . It has just been so draining for us all :( feel like on and off been quarantined to the house too. Dr didn't say much, just let him eat and drink as normal and that these bugs can last up to 3 weeks on and off or it could be a new one but go back if he is poorly again next week. he's eaten and drank today and is fine in himself. x

There's a horrible bug doing the rounds - don't know if dd got 2 consecutively or it was the same one back with a vengeance. Wanting to eat and drink is a good sign. Focus on the fluids - we use two straws in a glass of whatever and appetite will make its own way back. See a doc, of course if it doesn't go away.

Thank you @lavenderdoilly it's been awful. How long went in between your dad illnesses then? Yeah he's been drinking and eating loads today. well not loads but I've limited it to plain ish food, he's had 2 apples, 3 peices of marmite on toast and 3 custard creams. Keeps asking for more food. He seems fine other than tired. Wondering how long this can be on and off for... X

We had a week of rubbishness then an Ok week and then back for another week
During the weeks of rubbishness, it picked up after about 3 days. You WILL get back to normal but it doesn't feel like it. Weirdly I have a dodgy immune system (MS) and I was the healthiest person in the house. It's horrible in the middle of it but it will pass.
