Periods

My beautiful dd2 is 8 and called me upstairs and she's got what I think is her period.

Is 8 too young? She's got boobies already and pubic hair . Dd1 is not impressed!

I'm very honest and open with them so she's not upset or shocked at all. I just didn't know if maybe it's all a bit early for her?

Eight does seem very young. I think I would take her to the gp. Might just be a blip though and she might not have another one for awhile.
