Would you go to the doctors?

My 8yo DS has a cold and cough and has now developed a pimply rash on face and body. He had similar a few years ago and I went to docs who said it was just caused by virus and didn't need treatment. He is OK in himself apart from usual cold/cough symptoms but my mum is panicking telling me I need to take him to the doctors. Would you take your DC with these symptoms?

I would. I think the rule-of-thumb is to take any rash in.

And don't worry if they tell you it's a virus that will go away. They're there to diagnose, even if they can't treat.

My dd gets the same. As long as it disappears when you press it I would leave it.

Go to your local chemist for advice, if they suggest Dr then you can make an appt

Pimply rash could be scarlet fever. Might be worth checking.

fine in himself I wouldn't worry about rash.
