Givin too much nurofen

Hi I have given my 4 yr old 10 ml of nurofen instead of the stated 7.5 I got confused with the calol, is this any harm??

Do you know how much he weighs? Has he had any more today? I doubt it would do any harm as a one off. Just don't give him any more

She's quite a big 4 yr old she had some nurofen early this morning calpol at 16.30 and the nurofen at 20.45, she asleep at min been asleep 4 about an hour now do u think I should wake her?

She'll be fine. Hasnt even gone over a daily dose.

Dose is 10mg/kg and my skinny almost 4 year old is 15kg, it's probably just a normal dose if she is a big 4 year old. If she has only had one other dose today then she won't have gone over her daily allowance so will be fine.

Is there any thing I need to look out 4??

It is known for causing gastric irritation but I really don't think she has had enough to cause problems so don't worry!

She will be absolutely fine. When DS2 had a bone put back in place after a fall, at the A&E, they gave him a massive dose of nurofen and when I asked if that wasn't too much, they relied, it's fine and he needs it because it's very painful. So no worries!
