Hi - I think dd (8) has this. She snores, holds her breath while she's asleep, dribbles and I'm really worried. I'm watching her do it now and I don't know how to relieve it until I can get her seen at the gp next week - any advice?

It may well be related to adenoids or tonsils being enflamed/enlarged or catarrh related. I would try raising the head of the bed up with a couple of books, this will encourage any mucus to gravitate downwards and not lie in the back of the throat.

I would see your doctor and tell them the symptoms. They can decide if she needs sleep studies and / or ops.
