Teenage DD palpitations

My 15-yr-old DD told me today that for the last 6 months or so, every now and again she has heart palpitations. She says they occur randomly, she doesn't see a link to stress or exercise or anything. I am worried though; at the moment she is suffering from acute anxiety and low mood due to school/exam pressures; at a visit to the GP last week she didn't mention these palpitations. She is having a blood test this week and is on a waiting list for counselling. Can anyone advise me about this, please?

Every likelihood they are linked to the anxiety.

I'd imagine it's linked to anxiety too but worth mentioning to GP at your next visit. Caffeine can cause palpitations too...
