Hi

Around a year ago, my now 10 year old started complaining of disturbed sleep and getting up in the middle of the night scared. He said that when he closes his eyes it's like things are coming too close or he's too far away. (that's the best i can describe!). This only lasted a short while so thought we were clear of it. However last night it came back really bad and he's only had a couple of hours sleep. He described the same thing but was really upset this time and crying a lot. It was only stopping for a short while if he got up and looked at a light. Can anybody help with this please? Thank you

Vertigo?

How are his ears?

When you have a build up of earwax it can fragment and when you lie down the sensation of the wax and fluid build up confused your brain and you can get dizzy or feel as if everything is pulling away from you and you are unbalanced.

It is worse when you sit up from laying down.

Get his ears checked.
