I don't know but I'd go and get it checked out. DS1 had one, we went to the GP and he fast tracked us to the skin specialist. Apparently, melanoma is so rare in children that unless it fit all the criteria (ours was 3 out of the 4), they don't even want to see them. I'm glad we went though, it's worth it just to put your mind at rest. Looks like it's just been scratched or knocked.

Thank you, it looks weird there's no damage. The whole top of the mole is crusty scaly and then it's a different colour. He keeps getting pin prick rash as well which he has had countless trips to a and e for.

We've got an appointment 1550 today so we shall see.

If it's crusty chances are its a sebhorreic mole or wart. Can't really see from your pic, but they're harmless.

Best to get it checked though.
