Flu nasal spray advice/experiences

My dd is 3. She's due for the flu nasal spray tomorrow. I'm a little anxious about her having it as I have heard of several children locally who have been really poorly after it. My dd isn't the most resilient child and has loads of colds etc, we've already had to cancel the vaccine twice due to bad cough/cold.

I'd be interested to hear your experiences of the spray and any problems encountered.

Ds had it a few weeks ago. No issue with it at all and no side effects. He and Dd had it last year and also had no issues

Thanks for sharing, anyone else got any further experience of this? My daughter is due to have at 5pm and I'm still undecided.

My son had it this year and last. No problems whatsoever. I'd much rather he have it than get full blown flu.

DC1 had it this year and last, fine both times and no health issues. Flu is a serious illness.

My twins and it with no side effects at all.

Both of mine had it two years running, no side effects noticed at all.

Both mine had it this year. DD said she was hot the next two nights and seemed a bit tired but that could well have been unrelated.
That is better than flu though. Proper flu is horrid.

Dd2 had it last year (in fact twice, she sneezed out the first dose!) and had no side effects that I noticed.

Yes went ahead with it. She didn't flinch, some of the vaccine dropped out her nose. So far she's been fine-will update if any illness develops in the next few days x

Dd2 had hers last week (she is 10). She had it the previous year without side effects however this time she immediately told the nurse the inside of her nose was burning.
The nurse stayed for a while as she hadn't seen this reaction before.
Dd wasn't distressed just felt her nose was burning.
I picked her up from school as nurse suggested and phoned GP. GP was not concerned as dd was ok generally. However I did shine my phone torch up her nose and the inside middle parts were bright red and large.
She was fine the next day.
