Cough - 11 year old

DS1 has had a cough, initially just at night now throughout the day, for 10 days now.

Hasn't had any cough meds - we've bought a few but he doesn't like any of them.

Any other ideas? Not worth a GP visit if he's otherwise fine?

Top tip I read on here, it sounds bonkers but it does work - rub Vicks on the soles of his feet just before bed, pop on a pair of socks & 9 times out of 10 the cough will go or at least get better
