Took my son almost 4 to the doctors this morning. Think he had ear infection to be told he also has swollen glands and pneumonia. Doctor has asked to see him again at 5-30 should I be concerned? He has 2 hospitals stays under the age of 1 due to chest infections

Pnumonia is just another type of chest infection, it can be anything from mild to severe.

Try not to worry about the label pnumonia just go off how he is.

Hope he feels better soon

As Sirzy says, it is a worry of course, but ultimately a chest infection. DS had this and was hospitalised at approx 18 months. I had a 6 month old baby and I was beside myself. However, with the right antibiotics, it was sorted out really quickly. We didn't even have to stay overnight in the end as he started to respond to the medicine within a few hours.

Do try not to worry (easier said that done!) and hope he feels better soon.
