Very painful ring worm in scalp

Dd has it on her head. It's so painful she won't let me put cream on it. I'm waiting for results back from the Drs to decide what treatment she needs. In the meantime can anyone suggest a spray, either medical of soothing. Tia

Calpol or nurofen for pain and then apply the cream when it feels less painful, assuming the cream is an anti fungal cream prescribed by gp.

Be careful about applying non prescribed creams as some creams will may make the infection worse.

Could also try an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel to numb the area (no longer than 20 mins at a time)
