Do you think that Childhood Obesity rates are rising? If so, what do you think are the causes to this problem?

I think the cause of the problem is kids don't do anything anymore. Where I live kids play outside in the Streets and the woods from the time they finish school to 7 or 8 at night, weekends they're out from morning till night only coming in to eat then out again. They play manhunt, ride bikes, make dens climb trees build treeswings and never stop.

I wouldn't say they have what nowadays is called a healthy diet and more or less eat sugar puffs or Coco pops for breakfast, a jam or cheese sandwich or ham roll for lunch and dinners are sausage chips and beans, fish fingers chips and beans, Turkey drummers chips and beans etc

None of the kids round here are fat really and this is their lifestyle and diet.

Yes they are. I am a teacher and it is steadily rising. Children spend too long on computers/Ipads/mobile phones. However many adults are like this too (myself included!) so not setting a good example. People are glued to their phones.
It's too easy to pick up unhealthy snacks and sugary things. They are too convenient and readily available. They also taste nicer and therefore too tempting!

Yep. None of mine have computers ipads or phones. I ground mine as punishment and they see staying in and not getting out to play as punishment

Average portion sizes have been tending to steadily rise too...
