Antibiotics. Four times a day - how?!

Today ds was prescribed antibiotics that need to be taken 4 times a day on an empty stomach or an hour before food.

I'm struggling to figure this out Blush

He can have a dose when he wakes, an hour before breakfast. So far so good.

He has break time at school at 10.30 when he has some fruit and then lunchtime is at 12.15.

I collect him from school at 3.15 then he has dinner at about 5.30 before bed at about 7pm.

How do I fit these doses in on an empty stomach / an hour before food?!

Before Breakfast
Break time (fruit won't matter that much) or 11.15 if school allows
After school
Just before bed

That's the best I could come up with (I was going to skip his fruit for a few days) but I was worried that the bedtime dose was too close to his dinner.

I'd rather not wake him for a later dose - it smells gross and he says that it tastes even worse!

I hope school agree to give it to him and store it in the fridge for the day - that could be make or break!

I have woken my DC in the past. Warn him that you're going to do it. Then go in with syringe of antibiotics, syringe of water (or sports cap water bottle) and tiny taste of toothpaste. Barely wake him, then squirt in meds, water then put toothpaste on tongue. I've found this the most painless way for DC as they are barely aware - but also subconsciously aware that it's ok as you've warned them. Agree the spacing is a nightmare.
