Hi,
My little girl has had a cough since Tuesday and its a really chesty rattly type cough. It wakes her up at night and recently, she has been vomiting after coughing fits.
I don't know whether to go and see the doctors or whether its something that she will just get over? She's recently started nursery so I'm assuming that has a part to plan.
Anyone got any advice?
Thanks x

Is she eating and drinking? When my DS has been poorly I tend to not get overly worried as long as he is still eating and drinking. He's had several nasty coughs and coughed so much he's been sick, they don't have control over their gag reflex so it easily happens. Not nice for her or you I know.
I'd suggest listening to her chest, if the rattle is below her shoulders/middle of chest than take her to G.P for them to have a listen. If rattle is above, fluid hasn't settled on her chest. Encourage fluids, give paracetamol if she gets too warm and lots of cuddles.

Yes, she's drinking plenty of milk and juice, eating not as much as usual, often refusing food and mostly throwing it on the floor! I've attributed that to maybe a sore throat as she's fine with yoghurt and ice cream etc.
I'll have a listen to her chest, thank you for your advice xx
