Pneumococcal infection in 3yo!

My DD was discharged from hospital recently with a nasty case of the pneumococcal infection where she was on Iv antibiotics daily, she was really poorly and was having temperatures of 40degrees. The hospital said they were happy to discharge her as long as her temperature stayed down. She's been home 3 days and her temp is back up to 39. I've been giving her calpol to bring it back down but it's been 2 weeks now since the start of the infection and I'm worried that she's still getting temps? She seems ok in herself but is the high temp enough for me to take her back into hospital? How long would it normally take to get back to normal after this kind of infection?

I would phone OOH and you will be able to speak to a doctor. It could be something different, but I wouldn't want to risk if the infection hadn't completey cleared

def go back to the hospital- as they said. 2 weeks of this is far too long.
