Anybody whose DC get migraines?

DS (9) has bad headache every couple of months. He usually feels very tired and feels nauseous. Often he vomits and then feels much better.

I get occasional migraine (although usually with aura) myself.

We are a family of migraine sufferers. My grandson's migraine took the form that you describe. There is a lot more medication now, so if it is affecting his life, a GP visit might help.

If they do prescribe and you find the medication does not help, then revisit. Sometimes it can take a few attempts to get the right med

This recent thread may be of help! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/general_health/2460566-Can-we-prevent-having-a-migraine

Thanks florentina. I am keeping a note of when he has them. At the moment they are not that frequent but I think tiredness is probably his main trigger.

I went to GP last yr and he advised getting eyes tested, which we did, and no issues there.

I think 8yo ds has started having them and definitely think tiredness is a trigger. He had one this week I think although hard to tell as he also had a sinus infection but went tired and wobbly and then vomited and felt much better. In the past he's had an intense headache all of a sudden been sick then slept and been ok. Spoke to nurse this week who queries migraines but have GP on 18th.
