Immunisations and Vaccines (2month)

Hi all, my DD just had her 2 month injections.

Was just wondering about everyones experience of them and how their baby reacted to them.

They have started giving the Meningitis B to them now so my DD had 3 injections (5in1, pnlajhdlawhf one and meningitis B) and the oral solution for Rota virus. She slept for the first 4 hours, then woke up clingy and teary so I gave her calpol and a feed, she slept for another 3.5 hours and woke up screaming but she wasn't due more calpol for another half hour so I had to pace with her and BF her. She calmed EVENTUALLY and fell asleep, she woke up again and I gave her more calpol, and then she projectile vom'd. She is much calmer now but I think she will be in bed with me tonight, as whenever I put her down or give her to her Dad she wakes up. I haven't given more calpol (even though she most certainly threw it up) as she is sound asleep.

What can I expect over the next few days, just so I can have a best-worst case scenario!

Thank you

I know some people out there haven't vaccinated, so don't need to be told how awful I am for vaccinating her. I am practicing attachment parenting and she is exclusively BF, so I am doing my best! I hold an opinion of "Damned if you do and damned if you don't" on this matter and no parent needs to be told they are doing wrong by caring for their baby their way! Just experiences please! x

We were lucky and none of my 4 children reacted to their vaccines at all really. Dc4 had a rather explosive nappy I put down to the rotavirus vaccine but that was about it really. I hope you have a good night!

Hi I have a baby who is never ever sick and the night after his first and second lot of jabs he was sick all over in middle of night and lost all his colour it was bloody awful. His colour soon came back and the episode was over as quick as it came. He was in good spirits again.

I was dreading the 3rd lot of injections because of the vomiting but he was fine at those, no problems at all.

I think babies know when your upset and worried about them and it effects how they are if you know how I mean. I remember I was sobbing when he was sick after first jabs and rang nhs direct and took him to the dr the next day who could clearly see I am a maniac

You're not maniac!! I cried when they gave her injections. It's horrible to see your baby suffer. Just means you love them :) x

We had the same thing with first set of jabs. Slept immediately after jabs but then was very very unsettled and unhappy all night long. She was much better the following day though. And the next sets of jabs were fine.

Flowers though it's horrible when they get so upset when they're so tiny.

Both of mine just slept shit loads for a few days neither needed anything as they didn't have temps etc.
Hope she is feeling better today.
