Last year he got an infection in his penis due to urine collecting in his skin . He's not completely toilet trained (even dry at night) yet he's got one again Sad

I'm surprised at him having one again now that he's toilet trained and I feel really bad that I haven't done anything to prevent it .

I'll make an emergency appointment for him tomorrow but is there anything I could do to prevent this happening again ?

What should I do to make him more comfortable now ? I still put a pull up on St night just as a precaution but I'll leave that off tonight . He's 2.8 .

This is very common- with my boys they used to soak in warm water every evening, then we used to put a blob of Savlon on the end of the willy and let the foreskin come back over it so the Savlon was nicely distributed. Needs to be a very mild antiseptic mind! Occaisonally needed antibiotics. Mine both grew out of it but some kids needs circumcision. Good luck.

My son got this all the time. The doctor told me to get some canestan cream and apply it 2x a day.

Is it due to phimosis ( a too small opening in the foreskin)? If so ask the gp if steroid cream to stretch the hole is suitable at his age.
