Chicken pox

Sorry for another chicken pox inquiry. I was wondering if it is possible to contract chickenpox from outdoors with no direct interaction? My boy is not quite 2 and I rather him be a bit older but he may have been exposed. Many thanks!!

I contacted in my early twenties, when I'd had no contact with anyone with chickenpox and having no children did not mix with them, so I'd say yes you can get it with way.

Remembering how ill I was with it, compared to my son who was only about 9 months old when he got it, I'd say that the earlier the better if they're going to get it.

That's a shame but thank you. Is there any wisdom regarding varicella in a 2 year old? What is the ideal age for uneventful recovery? Is he more apt to scratch his blisters?

It varies from child to child re: how they react and recover. My dd was severe and v poorly-she has loads of scars(she was 2years 7m) my son was 3 months and coped fine, no marks!

Can I ask chicken pox related questions? DD age 10 came down with it on Saturday, got dd2 vaccinated today. We are due to fly to Greece on 25th Aug. Whilst we wouldn't take dd1 if she was still infectious (and assume dd2 doesn't come down with it) she may well have passed on to scab stage. Although desperate for a holiday am not sure if I want to take her as she is distraught re amount of spots on face and we're stuck indoors already, but imagine when scabbed it will look even worse and she won't want to do anything in public even if allowed out? Any advice from anyone with similar experience?
