My DS was poorly the other week. He vomited once in the night so I kept him off school. I called school on the 2nd day to say he would be off (48hr rule) but they said as he had only vomited he could go back in (after24hrs). He went to school on the Friday and on Friday night he had diarrhoea once. Sat night he had diarrhoea once and vomited again but only once. Sun he had diarrhoea once. I kept him off on the Monday and Tuesday and he went back to school weds and Thursday. He had diarrhoea once again on the Thursday night once on Friday and once today. He has eaten normally pretty much the whole way through and was unwell only at the beginning when he had vomited. I'm not sure if this is normal and will run its course....whether he still is infectious...or whether his gut hasn't returned to normal. I will get him probiotic yoghurt tomorrow to help but don't know whether I should still keep him away from everyone? It's never ending! Thanks.
