Toddler and loose bowels

My 20 month old has always had "loose" nappies and i've never really thought about it but his nursery have started mentioning it. Should I be concerned? Is it worth a trip to the GP? He eats well and has a varied diet. Could it be an intolerance?

If it's normal for him I wouldn't worry, unless of course it's very runny or slimey

Agree with pp that if it's normal for him then that's fine. However have a look at this article to see if it any of it sounds familiar. Toddler diarrhoea is pretty common and can often be improved with a few dietary tweeks.

Mine never had a solid poo until he started potty training.
Now soft but formed!

That's a great article. Thank you Marina
