Babies Vaccinations a dangerous time ?

Hi

just looking for some opinions. We were both invited to another friend's baby's 1st b-day past weekend.
Our baby had a cold about one week prior and was 100% AOK 2 days before the event.
We were still dis-invited. Reason given: The baby of our friends would have a vaccination this week and it was too risky. We were not the only guests.
Is that :
A: Perfectly reasonable behavior of concerned parents
B: A bit over the top.
C: Totally paranoid.
D: Anything else ?

D: Your friends' call, about their own child, and therefore to be respected even if you can't quite understand it.

It's B, but I guess it's up to them. Im guessing the baby isn't at nursery, or has much contact with the outside world? I've no idea what it's too risky for?

C- on the basis that the other people being there would be carrying far more than your recovered baby would be and the fact that they took to a illness infested drs surgery for the injections themselves.

probably C, but go with it....I have been in their shoes, they are just instinctively protecting their Baby in the only way they know how to.

However there could be a lot more to it than you realised.
Ds (my dc#3) reacted badly to his first set of jabs. I'm not totally convinced it didn't set him up badly as we have had more health scares with him than the other two put together.
At 10 weeks he started ear infections. These had a cycle of about 10 days. So:
day 1: A bit fussy
Day 2: temperature comes up
Day 3: definitely ill down at doctors ear infection antibiotics prescribed (or if not prescribed day 4: ear drum burst and antibiotics prescribed)
Day 4: Still ill with ear infection
Day 5: ear infection improving upset tummy starting
Day 6-8: upset tummy
Day 9: tummy improving
Day 10: normal

He did get his second set of injections in a lull of this at about 16 weeks.
He got his 3rd set of injections at 12 months and 13 months. Because he'd reacted badly to the first set they wanted to do them in 2 batches.
If he's been pfb I probably would have been similar to your friends as I just wanted them over, and with his history they didn't want to give them to him if he had any signs of possible illness.
