blood tests for children

dc needs a blood test. urgent referral. hopital only makes them by appointment but we have an app for something early next week where the results are needed.
where can I get them done this weekend? (se london btw)

I assume you're looking for a private hospital/clinic? The Portland might but I am doubtful. I've never been able to get a private blood test at the weekend before.

if the nhs won't can't do it we are prepared to go private.

NHS labs aren't open on the weekend for non-emergency cases.

thanks, will try some private clinics tomorrow and if they can't do it will just go to the children's department monday moning when they open.

ridiculous that for children you can't just walk into the phlebotomy clinic...
I'm (nearly) sure dc would have coped without a children's distractor.
