dry skin (eczema) around eyes - GP?

Dd5 has occasional mild eczema - usually on her legs. She has just developed dry flaky skin around both eyes. I'm not sure what to do about this, or what has caused it. Any ideas? Should I take her to the GP? It doesn't seem to bother her except when she's crying.

I get around my eyes. I have a special cream so yes it is worth a trip to GP.

I get it around my eyes too. I hate it, and when it flares up can't use any eye make up, adding to how self conscious it makes me feel, but I am very reluctant to use a steroid cream there (GP will prescribe .5% hydrocortisone for use for a few days). Last year I discovered Dr Organic Manuka Honey Cream. It has pretty much cleared up my eczema around my eyes, amazing stuff. Obviously it's not available on prescription, but I get mine on Amazon and I think Hollland & Barrett also stock it.

Just bumping this with an update...
We went to the GP who sent us home with a whole plethora of standard potions for eczema, eg diprobase ointment, cream, some soap substitute and stuff for the bath. But not hydrocortisone or anything like that.
We've been mostly using the ointment and it does seem to help a little bit, but today the skin around her eyes was worse than ever - all blotchy and red, almost as if she'd been hit in the face!
I'm not sure whether there's any point in going back to the GP, or maybe there's nothing extra they can do? I just wish we could prevent whatever is causing this.

Any thoughts would be great. I suspect pollen may have caused this flare up. If that is the case, is there any particular recommended treatment?

sometimes my ds' eczema looks worse before it gets better. this happened when I used coconut oil on his wrists which had become infected. It looked really sore when I started applying it but I stuck with the coconut oil and it seemed to dry it up completely. How long have you been using the stuff the doctor gave you?

I have recently been trying an oat bath (running the water through oats) and my ds says this helps his eczema. Honestly, every time ds' eczema goes away it is nothing to do with the doctor. It is usually a natural remedy that helps. But each time it is something different that helps!!
