my wee boy is 9weeks old and he's be on sma gold, and then sma lf but doctor said she didn't like lf formula so changed it to nutramigen, baby was still really constipated and throwing up all the time so doctor suggested it might be reflux rather than cows milk allergy so I changed him 2 c&g anti reflux but this made things worse constant up the back runny nappies and vomiting rashes and everything else so doctor then suggested nutramigen with carobel but this caused baby to throw up 10x worse like hitting the wall worse and still runny nappies! I eventually got an appointment at allergy clinic at children's ward clinic and doctor said my GP was being to laxadascical and rang them and demanded DS be put on nutramigen aa/purAmino, today's first day, everything's been fine so far baby's a lot more settled, no vomit or runny nappies as of yet and willing to have naps without the constant screaming and fighting! but he only seems to be taking 2/3 oz a feed which is unlike him he usually a 7oz feed and sometimes looks an extra oz anyone any ideas please

First, hang in there. It gets better, you are doing brilliantly!
In my experience when my lg was first switched to hypoallergenic formula her feeds went haywire but then she wasn't vomitting up most of her feeds or feeding for comfort to try to ease the pain her reflux was causing. It took her a week I think to find her new rhythm.
She's 2.5 now and still CMPA but thriving.
