They can grow out of it. But yes they can get tired feeding, but 5oz every 2-3 hours seems fine.

My DS1 was born with stryder, and was the same with feeding. He also used to squeak when crying. He saw a specialist until he was 6 months when it had then became "normal". He's now 12 and hasn't had a problem since.

I used to get the same. If he's anything like mine it doesn't stop him being a cheeky monkey Grin

Don't let people judge, and don't take it to heart if they do. I hope it strengthens soon as my boys did and you will never look back.

It's horrible the way people look at him , I feel so sorry for him but he's a very happy baby always smiling , Thankyou x

Ds2 and ds3 both had this. Ds2 was very "sicky" and had difficulty breastfeeding as he got so tired and wasn't gaining weight and I kept getting mastitis as he wasn't feeding properly. He managed better once we started topping him up with a bottle. He had outgrown it by 2.

Ds3 had a bad start and was in HDBU with chest drains and was tube fed to start with. He never managed EBF had top ups once I could feed him. Although he lost a lot of weight at first, once he was home he grew like a weed. He had a lot of croup in his first couple of years but is now 8 and a completely healthy child although he still has an expiratory grunt and is a but prone to coughs.

It's such a worry when they are little!

I remember the looks we used to get. They were pity looks. My son used to sound like a helicopter you could hear him downstairs when he was asleep. It was worse when he was sleeping. I second the reflux because he struggled to keep feeds down.
He's six now and he's fine he just grew out of it however he does snore at night which I think is due to that.
I completely feel for you I remember going through this and it's hard because some health professionals don't take it seriously. Try not to worry hopefully he will grow out off it.
