Weird sick bug - anyone else experienced this?

DS came back from a school residential on Friday unwell with cough and sore throat. By Saturday he had the most awful diarrhoea most of the day and was finally very very sick in the evening. Yesterday he seemed much better - no diarrhoea or sickness so thought it was just a 24 hour thing. Then today diarrhoea was back with avengence and this afternoon he was violently sick again. Seems really weird that he got better then worse again - I have never experienced this before. Has anyone else had similar?

Yes. Winter last year my dc were in and out of school because of it. Especially 4 yr old dd who would virtually completely recover for the whole day only to be struck again during the night. It went on for weeks despite trying to be scrupulously clean. We were disinfecting the entire house every day. The sick was just horrendous, yellowy green and frothy, smelt like eggs.

The memories haunt me

I have just come on here as I'm worried about the same thing. My 4yo DS had bad sickness through the night a week ago but no diarrhoea or temperature. It came from no where. He woke up around 8pm and was sick pretty much through the night. After that he was just sick a couple of times the following few evenings. Took a few days to recover. He then had a week of being ok now it's started again abeit a milder form. He is absolutley fine in the morning but for the past 3 days he goes down hill around midday. He complains of feeling sick and is extremely tired with tummy ache. He's off his food. He has been sick once which made him feel a bit better. We have chicken pox at his pre-school so I keep hoping to see spots and that maybe the two are unrelated. I'm going to take him to the gp tomorrow. Really not sure but the sickness buisness is something I haven't experienced before. Hope yours gets back to normal really soon x
