Hi my son is due to have grommets inserted on the 20th of May . He developed a cold on Sunday , runny nose and slight cough but no temperature. Did anyone else's lo operation go ahead with a cold ? Thanks

i remember that there was a problem when ds had a slight temperature,so might be worth checking with hospital

You probably need to check with the hospital.

I was once poorly the day before an op as a child and they asked me to go in for a check up so they could decide - it did end up going aheads planned though.

Check with hospital. If temperature they will cancel it, otherwise up to anaesthetist on the day. My DD had the same - a bit snotty and coughing a bit but improved by the time of the op and as she was well with it on the day they went ahead.
